Greater Manchester inward investment agency MIDAS has launched a business club in New York to attract investment into the city region. The New York branch of the Manchester Business Club is the third in the series. The launch event was attended by Manchester Airport, MIDAS, Marketing Manchester, UK Trade & Investment.
MIDAS said Google, IBM, American Airlines and Goldman Sachs are some of the companies to have joined the club following its launch in New York last week. Around 60 new members joined the club after the event on 12 May at the Soho House conference venue in Manhattan. Other attendees included representatives from Continental Airlines, The Rocco Forte Collection, Radisson, The Palace Hotel and The Midland Hotel, all of whom signed up to become members.
The event came after successful launches of Manchester Business Club in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and total membership of the club is now more than 600.
