ida_logoIDA Ireland is undoubtedly amongst the most sopisticated and prfessional of IPAs in the business. Their experience comes from 40+ years in the business of investment attraction. They know how to work their huge American diaspora. their track rcord in FDI attraction is phenomenal. All front facing staff are selected for their gift of the gab :-) and their ability to create a good “craic”! But in the area of modern marketing, plenty of other IPAs, quite frankly, do it much better than IDA. IDA’s approach is professional but a bit traditional – well behind the curve you might say.

A small but significant change is emerging: IDA is experimenting with a/v on its website. No big news perhaps, but what they are doing brings these new media opportunities to life in a truly professional way. Their businesslike approach can be see on their website homepage www.ida.ie and also in their video resources section. Take a look!

Well these “experiments” may not win awards for creativity or ingenuity, when compared to, for example, the works of Invest in France, Investment New Zealand, Enterprise Florida. IDA presentation style may not be quite so “cool” in terms of Obama-style web 2.0 informality that is found at West Atlantique, Aderly Lyon, UKTI or Queensland state. But they will keep investors and their advisors glued to the website for a few minutes – and who will come away conviced that Ireland is weathering the economic crisis better than perhaps it actually is! And that’s, as you say, “Job Done!”
