Ford Motor Company, the Detroit based American multinational carmaker, plans to invest $400 million in the next two years in its manufacturing plant in Kansas City, in order to start the production of a new vehicle there. The money will be used to modernize the plant and to save 3,750 workers in a factory that was in danger of closing.
Ford’s sales have increased over 20% in 2010, surpassed Toyota as the second best selling automaker in United States and announced plans to add 7,000 jobs by 2012.
